Medicare

For those on a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan and referred by a GP, Medicare will fund five (5) sessions per year for healthcare services recommended by your Doctor to help manage your health. Though this is a fantastic program, I believe that 5 sessions over the span of an entire year is too few. So, like everything else at Cane and Able, I decided to put my actions first to make the change I want to see. I'm doing this in the following ways:

1. I offer the first session for free, yes Free (no strings attached), so that it won't count towards your total number of referred sessions. Medicare regulation dictates that your first session is required to be an initial assessment. By making this session free, we can spend all of your actual CDM sessions on working hard on your goals through your exercise prescription and focusing on your health. 

2. On top of a free first session, I also completely bulk-bill ($0 out of pocket fee) all of your referred sessions for a 60-minute consult. Most providers only offer the Medicare minimum of 20 minutes, but I've decided to go far beyond that to support your health.

3. When you or your GP choose to refer to me as part of your CDM Plan, I will match the same number of sessions at a significantly reduced fee. So if you're referred to Cane and Able for 5 sessions, you get 1 free and 5 afterwards at a 25% discount (or 37.5% with a concession card) from my already far below average fees. 

4. I offer both 30 and 60 minutes options, so you have more choice and control. I understand that out-of-pocket fees can sometimes be difficult to budget for, so with a shorter and longer session option, you can choose whatever best suits your circumstances.

Matched Sessions (For 1-5 sessions depending on your referral)

30 Minutes - $30 ($25 with concession card)*

60 Minutes - $60 ($50 with concession card)*

* = Please be aware that these prices are only available for your matched number of sessions after you have used all of your sessions referred through your CDM Plan. Appointments after the usage of both your referred and matched sessions will be charged at my standard, but far below average, rate of $80 per 60 minutes.

To claim Exercise Physiology through Medicare you must have a GP referral through your Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan that states Exercise Physiology as a recommended therapy.
